Echocardiography Tech

Under direct and indirect supervision, according to established policies and procedures, performs routine echocardiography examinations and performs and provides preliminary interpretation of studies performed. Examinations performed may include, but are not limited to, trans-thoracic echocardiograms, trans-esophageal echocardiograms, stress and contrast echocardiograms (utilizing commercially prepared contrast agents). Receives training and instruction in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures in which skills cannot be demonstrated and documented.

Education:

Graduate of an approved program of echocardiography non-invasive cardiovascular technology or equivalent education and training.

Experience:

Must have experience as required for registry in echocardiography by either the American registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in the p...
