Echocardiograph Technician

Job Description
Job Summary:Will perform M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler, and Color Doppler exams, assist with exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms, prepare reports for physician review on our GE reporting system, assist the department in posting appropriate charges of services rendered, participate in quality improvement initiatives. Experience with ultrasound contrast agents is preferred.
Prepares for examinations by checking equipment, taking inventory of supplies, replenishing stock as needed, reviewing physician orders and patient schedules, readying recording equipment, and inputting patient information.
Manages patient stress by patiently explaining exam procedures, answering questions, and providing ambulatory assistance as needed.
Alerts appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention.
Produces high-quality imaging by accurately positioning transducer, monitoring display, listening to signals, adjusting beam strength...
