Early Years Kitchen Assistant

Job Title

Nursery – Bright Horizons Bristol Day Nursery.

Salary – £11,997.99 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience).

Hours – 3 Days Per Week (Tues, Weds & Fri) 11:00am-5:00pm.

Location – Bower Ashton, Bristol.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef in the preparation and cooking of age‑appropriate food for all children in the nursery.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety at all times.
• Take responsibility for running the kitchen in the Chef’s absence.
• Ensure all dietary requirements are catered for and clearly communicated to teams.
• Prepare and present meals to children in a safe, hygienic and delicious manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience within a cooking role, domestic or commercial.
• Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating.
• Sound knowledge of managing dietary requirements, especially food allergies.
