Life can change dramatically for a visually impaired veteran when hopping in the car and travelling from A to B is no longer possible. Something so simple — and something many of us don’t think twice about — suddenly becomes a real barrier, affecting independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

That’s where you come in. As a volunteer driver, you make an enormous difference by helping someone regain a little bit of that independence. Whether it’s getting to a social event, an important appointment, a trip into the community or even a day out somewhere special, you’ll be opening doors that might otherwise stay closed. This role will support veterans requiring transport to and from our social group in the north of Weston Turville, once a month on a Monday morning.
