Job Description

Job Summary:

The Bit repair technician will report to the Operations Manager/Supervisor and will be actioned with a variety of manual and machine grinding, blast cleaning and thermal related tasks such as brazing, welding and hardfacing that focus on the repair and assemble of drill bits & DLR to a high standard along with bit movements when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY: 
Adherence to contractual obligations, such as timekeeping.
Assembling components to engineering drawings and set procedures.
Good knowledge and practical skills in various torch brazing and hardfacing processes.
A comprehensive understanding of the use oxy/acetylene & propane equipment and processes and necessary checks. 
Use handheld grinding tools.
