Donation Associate

Position Purpose

Provide customer service and support retail operations at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Fenelon Falls, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Perform cash and debit sales with minimal voids, overages, or shortages.
• Operate register and handle cheques, credit cards, refunds, voids, and holds according to policy.
• Load, unload, sort, price, and store donations, including packaging, hanging, and labeling.
• Maintain store opening and closing procedures, including security monitoring.
• Assist with store layout and merchandise displays to attract customers.
• Help manage inventory: retrieve, sort, hang, price, replenish, and remove items for sale.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and store pricing policy.
