Divisional Youth Worker

The purpose of this role is to support the mission of The Salvation Army by providing knowledge and expertise in the development and delivery of the divisional youth work strategy.

The role will involve developing the current youth programme, as well as working alongside local leaders to grow new initiatives in accordance with local needs. It will ensure best fit with existing youth ministry to extend the mission of The Salvation Army by increasing the full participation of young people through effective discipleship, leadership and mission.

Candidate Profile

• A committed and practising Christian, ideally with knowledge of The Salvation Army.
• An experienced youth professional with working knowledge of youth work values, professional practices and a range of styles and models.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel within the area of Sussex, Kent & Surrey Borders.
