Distribution Planning Engineer

Job Description
The Hosting Capacity Planning Department performs analysis of client's Distribution system to determine the amount of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) generation that can be seamlessly added to the electric system without necessitating changes or upgrades.

This position will support the growing needs from solar developers by providing Hosting Capacity maps of the Distribution system to aid them in their siting of potential generation projects. This position will be responsible to determine the available capacity and constraints on the Transmission system that impact the Solar Generator projects, provide capacity information for Distribution substation banks, create base cases, and determine the available Hosting Capacity for Solar load on each of our Distribution feeders.
