**DISTRIBUTION ASSOCIATE – CUTLINE OPERATOR**

**SUMMARY** **:**

Person in this position will cut and or strip cable, chain, and other wire products to specific lengths. They will display the ability to work closely with others and as a team. Responsibilities listed below cover some of the significant duties performed, but do not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES** **:**

+ Operates coiling line, rim drive, and spooling line equipment to make cuts
+ Loads and unloads master reels onto cutline equipment in preparation for cuts
+ Respools and cuts cable, wire rope, and whisper-flex to specified lengths
+ Logs all cuts into computer system
+ Strips a required length of jacket off of traveling cable, flat cable, and whisper-flex chain
+ Packages and pushes cut reel off of take-up for further processing
+ Performs quality checks for correct operation of counter and fault
