Job summary

Longfield Medical Centre is recruiting for a dispenser on a part‑time basis, working a maximum of 31.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work as part of our busy dispensary team, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients. The role involves close collaboration with GPs, nurses and administrative staff to provide an excellent service.

Main duties of the job

• Processing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Providing advice and support to patients regarding their medication
• Managing repeat prescriptions
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Stock control and ordering of medication
• Accuracy checking dispensed medication
• Ensuring optimisation of medication
• Ensuring compliance with practice policies and dispensing regulations
