Mendip Vale Medical Group are looking for a Dispensary Assistant to join our medicines management team. The post-holder will ensure a high quality, safe and efficient dispensing service is available to meet the needs of patients at all times in accordance with the Surgery Dispensary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The role includes developing good working relationships with Clinical Pharmacists, GP, nurses, other surgery staff and external organisations. Please note this is not a visa-sponsored position.

Main duties of the job

• Issuing stock items and prepared prescriptions.
• Collecting prescription charges and checking patient exemption statements.
• Ensuring all monies received are appropriately stored with a robust record of financial transactions.
• Processing and bundling prescriptions for the Prescription Pricing Authority.
• Storing drugs in an appropriate manner according to manufacturers’ instructions ...
