Dispatch Planner - 1 Year Contract

The Role

XTL Transport Inc. is currently seeking a highly organized and results‑driven Planner / Dispatcher to support our City & Local Operations. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing local cartage and highway overflow while ensuring exceptional service levels, cost control, and compliance with company policies and regulations. Shift: 4 on / 4 off, 5am – 5pm.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch & Planning

• Plan all city, local cartage, and overflow highway loads
• Assign and confirm loads with drivers; ensure pre‑plans are sent at all times
• Manage relays, load trades, and routing to minimize cartage costs
• Monitor road and weather conditions and communicate impacts to drivers and Driver Managers
• Track & trace drivers to ensure on‑time pickups and deliveries
