Director of Systems Engineering

Job Summary:
The Director of Systems Engineering oversees the Process Improvement Department, develops goals and plans that complement the support of the operational and quality hospital improvement goals, and fulfills operational management expectations regarding fiscal efficiency, education, communication, and community. The Director of Systems Engineering directly supervises systems engineers and support staff, including evaluation and coaching. Ensures professional growth of staff, supports process improvement teams by advising on project scope and assisting with Lean/Six Sigma tools and improvement strategies. Develops and supervises quality improvement patient safety projects, assists in department strategies, maintains departmental budget, and continuously evaluates resource needs in maintaining relationships with Upstate Community and clinical system resources.
