Director, Emergency and Patient Flow

Position Summary

As a key member of the Management/Operations Committee, the Director of Emergency and Patient Flow will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department and patient flow across the hospital. Reporting to the Vice President Clinical Programs / Chief Nursing Executive and working collaboratively with the Vice President Medical Operations and the Chief of Emergency Medicine, the Director will be instrumental in advancing high‑quality, safe, and patient‑centered care.

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical and operational strategies that enhance Emergency Department excellence while driving seamless, efficient patient flow from arrival to discharge across all inpatient units. The Director leads initiatives that reduce barriers, optimize transitions, and ensure timely access to care.
