Overall Purpose of the Role
The Dev Ops Engineer plays a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, bridging the gap between development, operations, and quality assurance teams. Their primary responsibility is to automate and streamline the processes between software development and IT operations, ensuring the rapid and reliable deployment of software.
Requirements Experience and Skills Required 6-8 years of experience in Dev Ops technologies Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Power Shell. Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or Circle CI.
