Designer/Technician - Industrial Mechanics

Overview

Your future role on our team. As a member of our Mechanical Engineering team, you’ll assist with studies for major projects in the mining, energy and heavy industry sectors. You may also be asked to provide remote support to our regional offices in Labrador, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Sept-Îles, especially for asset maintenance projects in the mining sector. You’ll be based at our Québec City office, but you may be required to take short trips to our other offices in Eastern Canada.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preparing plans and specifications based on guidelines
• Under supervision, carry out the 3D design of equipment and mechanical layouts for all components
• Work with point clouds (3D scanning)
• Coordinate equipment layout with other disciplines, such as the Structural Engineering and Piping groups
• Produce 2D drawings of equipment developed in design and general layouts
