About the role
In this role as a Deputy Engineering Manager within the Central Plant Engineering (CPE) team at the Port of Tilbury, you will provide effective managerial support to drive continuous improvement operations across the Port. With a strong focus on managing both reactive and planned maintenance activities, the role ensures that statutory compliance, operational efficiency, and maintenance excellence are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities:
Support the Engineering Manager in overseeing planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime of port assets.
Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and maintenance schedules.
Assist in developing and optimising maintenance planning, including stores and spare parts management, to improve efficiency.
Monitor and ensure timely and high-quality responses to faults and defects.
