This Senior Nursing role provides professional leadership for nursing staff across the six Business Units in the Cancer, Diagnostics and Clinical Support (CDCS) Division. Working with the Senior Leadership Team the Deputy Director of Nursing (DDND) assists in leading on quality and governance, safe staffing and patient safety. The DDND supports Matrons and Senior Nurses in delivering excellent care across the range of wards and specialist services in the Division, ensuring that Trust expectations and objectives are met, providing professional advice and leadership to the nursing workforce.

As part of the Divisional Senior Team the DDND acts as a source of professional nurse guidance contributing to the shared accountability for safe and effective delivery of care.
