Summary This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Chief Readiness Support Officer, Aviation Integration and Resources. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Deputy Director for the Department of Homeland Security Office of Aviation Integration and Resources (DHS AIR), reporting to and acting on behalf of the Chief Aviation Officer. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position. Responsibilities As a Deputy Director (DHS AIR), GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include: Monitoring aviation resources across department components. Leading aviation strategic planning initiatives. Serving as a key advisor between Department of Homeland Security, federal agencies and external partners on all aviation related capabilities and operations.
