Dental Laboratory Technician

Summary The position is at the full performance level located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the (Phoenix VA Healthcare System, VA Medical Center (VAMC) in the (Dental Service). The primary purpose of the dental laboratory technician is to work on the written order or prescription by the dentist. Responsibilities Major duties include but not limited to: Removable and Implant Prosthodontic Services (35%): The incumbent is responsible for the complex fabrication of removable prostheses such as but not limited to pouring final removable impressions, fabrication of occlusal rims, case articulation, denture tooth set up for removable partial/complete dentures and maxillofacial prostheses. The incumbent is responsible to fabricate fluoride trays, removable orthotics for bruxism, sleep apnea and/or radiation purpose.
