Dental Hygienist Partnership

**Purpose:**
Under the supervision of a dentist, the Dental Hygienist performs prophylactic and therapeutic services and conducts client education to prevent and control dental disease.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Performs supply inventories.
+ Is accountable and adaptable to all Clinic safety procedures, continuing education requirements, operational procedures, corporate compliance requirements, occupational exposure policies, disaster plan, infection control policies, and regulatory requirements.
+ Demonstrates appropriate precautions for blood/body fluid exposure.
+ Demonstrates understanding of age-specific needs of the dental client population.
+ Takes and develops radiographs
+ Shares responsibilities with the dental assistant for the proper cleaning, packing, and storage of supplies and instruments.
+ Assists in the supervision of dental hygiene students.
