Deck Machinery (Mechanical) Engineering Technician

Amentum is seeking Deck Machinist Mate for MARMC Code 255 to provide technical services and assessments on US Navy Auxiliary equipment. The candidate will operate, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, onboard maintenance training, assessment, inspection, grooming, on Sliding Pad Eyes, Boat Davits, Cranes, Capstans, Antenna Tilting Groups, and Chocks.

Job responsibilities:

+ Conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations and perform equipment functional checks.
+ Perform troubleshooting, testing, analysis, operational oversight, maintenance oversight, diagnose operational faults for installed US Navy systems.
+ Provide training to ship’s force personnel as an integral part of everyday shipboard task in the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of the listed systems.
+ Provide support for shipboard Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) tasks including, bt not limited to, Total Ship Readiness Assessments (TSRA), ...
