Data Protection Engineer

Experience Required: 4+ Years

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily backup jobs and maintain the daily backup checklist.
• Perform NetBackup client installation and backup commissioning activities.
• Prepare and manage filesystem and VM snapshot backups.
• Handle data restoration requests (network backups and VM snapshot restores).
• Execute manual SAR cycle operations.
• Perform filesystem mounting/unmounting and Disk Group (DG) import/export for BCV-based backups.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Working knowledge of backup tools, preferably Veritas NetBackup, including process flow and daemons.
• Basic understanding of server hardware, operating systems, and configuration files.
