Job Description

We’re hiring a contract Ontologist to design ontologies that help build out new AI domains within the business. This role focuses on developing semantic models and knowledge structures, helping shape how internal knowledge gets used by AI agents in product, data and global markets. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design ontologies from scratch that represent core business concepts and relationships across contexts, constraints and inference patterns, approaches to reasoning
  • Structure knowledge for GraphRAG and Search from unstructured artifacts (documents, transcripts, reports, glossaries...) as well as for assembling agent context
  • Work with engineers to determine how ontology gets queried, connected and reasoned over
  • Produce design review artifacts and model documentation
  • Validate, test against use cases, queries and workflows
  • Establish maintenance process and build governance layer
