Data Governance Business Analyst

Job Description
An employer is seeking a Data Governance Analyst Contractor in the London area as they continue maturing their enterprise data strategy. This individual will work directly with both business and technical stakeholders to establish governance processes, improve data quality, and create accountability around critical data assets. The ideal candidate will combine Business Analyst-style stakeholder engagement with hands-on Data Governance experience, have strong Power BI skills, and be comfortable building governance processes from the ground up. Financial services, trading, commodities, or other highly regulated industry experience would be a significant advantage.

Approximately 50% of the role will focus on supporting the organization's Data Governance rollout, including establishing governance councils, defining data ownership structures, creating policies and standards, and documenting how data flows throughout the business.
