Job Description

Our local authority client is looking for an experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to join their Repairs and Maintenance team in York. The main focus will be to conduct detailed surveys of properties, to identify damp and mould issues.

This is a temporary role, from Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, for a minimum of 3 months but could potentially be longer.


The rate of pay is £22.21 per hour.


This role involves;

  • providing specialist advice on complex repair issues, concerning damp and mould

  • housing disrepair

  • escalating cases, while ensuring statutory and regulatory obligations are met.

  • working closely with in-house trades and contractors, overseeing works to guarantee quality, compliance, and value for money.

  • diagnosing root causes and providing accurate reports with remedial recommendations.
