About the role:

The Counsellor/Educator position works to provide alcohol and other drug treatment, support, and prevention to consumers as a key member of an outreach service that services remote communities in the West Kimberley. The Counsellor Educator will possess a sound level of clinical knowledge and skills, together with well-established work practices that exercise initiative and sound judgment.

The position has both a treatment and prevention focus with the aim of reducing harm associated with alcohol or other drug use by providing proficient, culturally secure case management, assessment, group facilitation, education and support to consumers and their families and the local community.
