Customs Team Leader

We are working with a well-established supply chain specialist to recruit a Permanent Customs Team Leader to work Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm in the Dover area.

The Role

• Lead a small customs team, ensuring consistent performance and compliance, allocating workloads and conducting performance reviews.
• Oversee accurate import/export declarations and act as the point of escalation for complex or high‑risk entries, liaising with customs authorities to ensure smooth and timely resolutions.
• Ensure full compliance with HMRC and regulatory bodies, staying up to date with changes to customs legislation/tariffs, and implement internal SOPs and best practices.
• Monitor daily customs operations to ensure accuracy and adhere to KPIs, including reviewing entries and documentation to minimise errors and delays.
