**Description:** Performs janitorial duties, involving heavy manual work, where it is necessary to operate manual and power cleaning equipment; performs hand sweeping, cleaning, dusting, waxing, polishing, mopping, scrubbing and related duties; sweeps outside, factory and office areas; empties waste baskets and trays; places sweepings and trash in carts and receptacles; hand or mechanically scrubs, mops, washes and dries floors, woodwork and furniture; cleans carpets, carpeting, and rugs with brooms, brushes, sweepers, extractors, and vacuum cleaners; hand polishes and waxes office furniture, floors, linoleum and woodwork; washes and polishes windows where use of safety belts is not necessary; cleans drinking fountains and lavatories; replenishes supplies such as soap, towels, drinking cups, disinfectants and sanitary napkins; maintains good housekeeping in office, factory and ground areas; does simple gardening as required.
