Custodian - Casual

CUSTODIAN (CASUAL) The Casual Custodian, reporting to the Principal, is responsible for providing a safe and clean work environment for staff and students, by performing general cleaning and maintenance duties to the school property and grounds. Casual Custodians are scheduled on an as-needed basis, Monday to Friday, with an hourly wage of $25.29 per hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation pay effective September 1, 2025. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate cleaning equipment to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, etc. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Tend grounds and plants as required by the Principal. Clean and disinfect washrooms, lunchrooms and fixtures. Move furniture, equipment and supplies. May perform minor repairs as required.
