Become the Culturally Grounded Healing Program Manager for GEORGE GORDON FIRST NATION in Regina. Lead initiatives that support trauma recovery among Indian Residential School survivors and families.
This contract position aims to empower the community through the Calling Their Spirit program, which addresses intergenerational trauma and offers a safe space for healing. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field, facilitating workshops and ceremonies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize monthly healing workshops and activities
• Develop relationships with Elders and Knowledge Keepers
• Coordinate cultural ceremonies and feasts
• Guide participants in counseling options
• Manage logistics including venue and transportation
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or related field
• Familiarity with First Nations community needs
• Understanding of trauma impacts
• Excellent organizational abilities
