Perform diagnostic medical radiographic procedures and studies with a thorough understanding of standard radiography and fluoroscopy. Work areas include thorough knowledge of advanced computerized tomography and Interventional CT procedures. Knowledge of digital image processing with PACS archival in a film-less environment. Assist physicians, interprets orders and explains procedures to nursing staff, patients, and families. Secondary responsibilities include a thorough understanding of the department operations in order to assist non-technical staff in processing paperwork, films, CDs/films and expediting patient transportation. POM requirement includes rotation through the diagnostic arena. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
