Cropping & Feed Manager

The Role This leadership role oversees the full feed production cycle – from crop planning, irrigation, and harvesting to feed mixing and inventory control. Reporting to senior management and working closely with nutritionists and the herd team, you’ll ensure reliable, high-quality feed supply for a high-performance dairy operation. Key responsibilities include: Plan and manage forage crops (maize, lucerne, rye, cereals) across irrigated and dryland blocks Operate and maintain irrigation systems (centre pivots) Oversee feed mixing operations, inventory reconciliation, and contractor coordination Supervise machinery use, maintenance, and safety for all cropping and feed-related equipment Supervise 2 staff and support training and roster planning About YouYou are an experienced and practically skilled with producing forage crops, confident with irrigation systems, machinery, and staff oversight.
