Crisis Counsellor

Position Summary

The Crisis Counselor, as a member of a multi‑disciplinary Crisis Intervention team providing out‑patient Mental Health Services, will respond to crisis calls, and offer emergency mental health intervention including assessments, referrals, crisis resolution and/or simply provide information to adults 16 years of age and older. You will work in one of the only public‑funded services without a waiting list and function as entry‑point to counselling for many people. This is a great role to hone your clinical skills, working alongside a supportive team.

Required

• Current Certificate of Registration, in good standing, in the appropriate regulated health professions college of Ontario (OCSWSSW- Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the CRPO- College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, CNO - College of Nurses of Ontario, College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario).
