Job Description
The Credit Controller is responsible for administering and managing sundry debtor accounts to ensure timely payments, adherence to approved credit limits, and the minimisation of bad debts. The role focuses on effective debt collection, credit risk assessment, and maintaining accurate customer records while building positive customer relationships that support cash flow and profitability.
Key duties include processing accounts receivable transactions, reconciling general ledger accounts, following up on overdue payments, negotiating payment arrangements, and initiating legal recovery procedures when necessary. The Credit Controller monitors customer payment behaviour, evaluates credit applications, manages aged debt reports, and ensures compliance with established credit policies and procedures.
