Crane Inspector

Inspects, certifies, and performs minor maintenance of overhead cranes and hoists for safe operations.

**Responsibilities**

+ Completes inspection reports to provide the proper documentation and record findings.
+ Inspecting structural components: sheaves, blocks, and hooks, operating mechanisms, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, hydraulic cylinders, wire rope, operational aids, and safety devices.
+ Inspects and performs minor repair of the structure, mechanical, electrical, operational and safety items to meet inspection requirements.
+ Performs load tests as per requirements and documents findings.
+ Assures safe operating practices and procedures are being used.
+ Knows and uses the correct hand and voice signals while operating cranes and hoists.
+ Understands basic rigging procedures and promotes safety.
+ Possess the physical ability to safely operate overhead cranes and hoists.
