Pastoral Care at Wellington College

We offer a part‑time Counselling role supporting student wellbeing within a compassionate and professional school environment. The role is for 16‑21 hours per week across 33 weeks per year, term‑time only.

Role Overview

The Counsellor will provide confidential counselling and psychotherapy services to students aged 13‑18, working within the College’s established counselling and therapeutic provision.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling services to students.
• Maintain accurate and secure clinical records.
• Work within recognised ethical and safeguarding frameworks.
• Collaborate with pastoral, medical, safeguarding colleagues and external professionals.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the counselling service.
• Engage positively with families and external professionals where appropriate.
