Major/Essential Functions
Perform patient-specific care tasks such as assisting with hygiene, linen changes, repositioning, ambulation, and feeding. Measure and record vital signs, blood glucose levels, and weights; promptly report abnormalities to the primary nurse.Conduct EKGs as needed and report any changes in skin integrity or signs of pressure injury.Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment by checking and replacing sharps containers, monitoring refrigerator temperatures, passing ice, and assisting with patient meals. Clean and calibrate glucometers and report any unsafe or unsecured equipment or environmental hazards.Assist with supply management by restocking items under the guidance of the Charge Nurse, monitoring inventory, and rotating stock to ensure items remain within expiration dates.Follow infection control protocols by ensuring proper equipment storage, cleaning shared spaces such as the break room ...
