The role of Corporate Matron (NHS Band 8a) serves as a bridge between strategic corporate nursing and frontline clinical practice. This senior leadership position focuses on driving clinical excellence, patient safety, and trauma-informed care across the organization. It offers the opportunity to work closely with the CNO and Directors of nursing to influence and develop practice across a range of priority areas. The successful candidate will have opportunities for mentorship to support their own professional development and acquisition of new skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the on-going safe and effective delivery for their designated portfolio to ensure the attainment of quality and clinical performance indicators concerned with nursing and midwifery practice and the wider context of patient care delivery.
