Job Description
Join Hudbay Minerals as a Driller at the Copper Mountain Mine near Princeton, BC. Ensure safe operations of drill equipment in 12-hour shifts on a 7x7 rotation.
This position reports to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, focusing on the safe and efficient operation of blasthole drilling equipment. You will be responsible for pre- and post-operational checks to maintain equipment integrity. Your skills in communication and mechanical aptitude will be essential in this challenging but rewarding outdoor role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote a safe work environment following strict safety policies
• Establish and follow operating procedures for drilling
• Perform pre-trip checks on drilling equipment
• Change out drill bits and perform maintenance tasks
