**Position Purpose:**

The **Second Cook** prepares and cooks a wide variety of hot food items for patient, cafeteria, Café 299, and special function foodservice. Maintains the cooking area and equipment in a safe, sanitary condition in accordance with department requirements

**What you will do:**

+ Prepares and cooks hot food items using from scratch cooking methods, mixes and/or other convenience items, and ready to cook products.
+ Utilizes approved recipes and instructions to prepare and cook regular (house) and a variety of modified diet items.
