Controls & Robotics Engineer - BIW (Body-in-White) Experience

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens)
• Program and integrate industrial robots in BIW applications (spot welding, handling, sealing)
• Commission and debug body shop equipment and robotic cells
• Support production launches, cycle time improvements, and downtime reduction
• Integrate robots with PLC‑controlled systems and safety devices
• Work with welding systems (spot welding, projection welding, stud welding)
• Perform system validation, buy‑offs, and customer acceptance tests
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and robotic issues on‑site
• Collaborate with controls, mechanical, and production teams

Required Skills

Controls Engineering:

• Strong PLC programming experience
• Platforms:
  • Allen‑Bradley (RSLogix / Studio 5000)
  • Siemens (TIA Portal)
