What You Will DoThe Integrated Weapons Experiments (J) Division's Engineering Operations and Physics (J-6) Group is seeking a Controls Engineer Post-Bachelor Student to support accelerator control system software and hardware for the Dual-Axis Radiographic Hydrodynamic Test (DARHT) Facility. J-6 delivers state-of-the-art capabilities in support of Los Alamos National Laboratory's hydrodynamic test mission. Core responsibilities include physics, diagnostics and data acquisition, controls, timing, pulsed power, mechanical systems, and operations essential to DARHT's accelerators. The group also conducts R&D to advance accelerator capabilities.In this role, the selected candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of scientists, engineers, technologists, and technicians on DARHT projects and programs, while receiving training on the specialized software and hardware used across both accelerators.
