Control Systems Engineer

About The Role:

As our Control Systems Engineer at the Newcastle Rod Mill, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving our MES Automation Layer and other critical automation systems that support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Working closely with cross-functional teams in production, maintenance, and process improvement, you’ll troubleshoot breakdowns, implement system upgrades, and drive automation improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will:

• Provide technical support for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, sensors, drives, and advanced instrumentation
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and investigate root causes to drive long-term reliability improvements
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and process teams to optimise control and tracking systems
