Job Description
As a Control Desk Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of plant shipments , in compliance with PPG's policies and procedures. This role guarantees proper accounting records that support financial analysis and informed decision‑making. Additionally, you will provide efficient and high-quality service to transportation suppliers as well as internal customers who rely on the information managed by this position.
This position reports directly to the Administrative Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and validate physical shipment documentation, ensuring that all operations are legitimate, accurate, and compliant with established procedures.
- Ensure that all payments made to transportation carriers have the required approvals, in accordance with the approval matrix and the rate schedule authorized by the Purchasing department.
