Eligibility & Experience

• Five (5) or more years of permanent contract teaching experience with another board.
• Self‑identify with one of the four equity‑deserving groups designated under federal and provincial law.

Responsibilities

• Effective instruction, training, and evaluation of pupils in the subjects assigned.
• Management of the class or classes and reporting to the principal on pupils’ progress.
• Execution of supervisory duties and the instructional program assigned by the principal, supplying required information.
• Co‑operation with other teachers and the principal on all instruction matters for appointed teachers under sections 14 or 17.
• Presence in the classroom or teaching area, ensuring readiness for pupils at least fifteen minutes before morning classes and five minutes before afternoon classes.
