Job Description
About the Role
This role is to provide care to patients with a focus on Medical Retinal Ophthalmology. Consultant ophthalmologist services are provided in both OPD clinic and theatre settings. There is a large component of teaching and supporting nurses and allied health staff. Supervision and training of RMOs is an important aspect of the role.
Specific Services Will Include
- cataract surgery and medical retinal clinic sessions
- participation in relevant service and clinical meetings related to the service
- participation in quality improvement activities, clinical audit activities, and continuing medical education
- contribution to service and organisational initiatives in clinical practice
- participating in a general on‑call roster.
