Consultant in Anaesthesia

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Anaesthetics team for a permanent Consultant in Anaesthesia. The main duties will be in the provision of anaesthesia for the surgical operating theatre suite. As a department we are proud of our high training and educational reputation in the West Midlands.

There is the possibility to negotiate reduced or additional DCC / SPA sessions for those with either additional commitments or talents.

Main duties of the job

1. Daytime clinical anaesthetic duties will be undertaken in the theatre suite but may also include obstetrics, ECT, cardioversion or thoracoscopy which are outside the main suite. As a DGH we cover a wide range of specialties including elective paediatrics over the age of 2. The overnight and weekend on call is a 1:12 rota which covers critical care, theatres and maternity. 2.
