Consultant - Gastroenterology

• Perform professional duties as a gastroenterologist following privileges approved by the Credentials Committee.
• Conduct assessment and re‑assessment for all OPD patients on admission and prior to any procedure.
• Perform duties in the GI Clinic, evaluating patients with GI diseases.
• Execute GI procedures, including upper and lower endoscopies, liver biopsies, E.R.C.P., and esophageal motility studies.
• Provide consultation referral services to inpatient services in the area of expertise.
• Offer on‑call emergency coverage for GI emergencies after working hours.
• Supervise and educate endoscopy staff, nurses, and technicians.
• Participate and contribute to all quality assurance activities of the service, such as monthly mortality and morbidity conferences, peer review, audit, and chart review.
