Contribute to ecological restoration as a Consultant for a feasibility study in East Vancouver Island. Collaborate with Halalt First Nation and WWF-Canada to assess potential high marsh restoration.
This role focuses on conducting a feasibility study for a modified site in the Chemainus River Estuary. You'll be involved in historical research, ecological assessments, and developing a planting prescription plan. Strong collaboration and technical skills will ensure successful completion of project objectives and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake historical research via aerial photos and land surveys
• Develop a list of invasive species and management practices
• Complete a comprehensive site condition analysis
• Engage with local biologist for site visits and assessments
• Compile findings into a feasibility study document
